Last Updated: September 1, 2025

Welcome to RideOn. Please read this Rider Agreement & Terms of Use ("Agreement") carefully before using our Service.

By accessing or using the RideOn Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions outlined below. This Agreement applies to all users, visitors, and anyone who accesses our Service.

If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you are not permitted to use the RideOn Service. Failure to comply with these terms may result in the suspension or permanent termination of your account, financial penalties, and/or legal action.

1. Defining the Rideon Service

The RideOn "Service" encompasses all of the following components:

  • The RideOn website (www.rideon.ph) and the RideOn mobile application (collectively, the "Platform").

  • RideOn's fleet of bicycles and e-scooters ("Vehicles" or "Personal Mobility Devices").

  • Designated parking stations, including all associated docks, kiosks, and pavement markings ("Stations").

  • All other related equipment, information, and personnel.

2. Your Account & Eligibility

To use the RideOn Service, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Age Requirement: You certify that you are 18 years of age or older. You accept full legal and financial responsibility for any consequences, damages, or losses resulting from any misrepresentation of your age.

  • Payment Method: You agree to maintain a valid debit or credit card on file with us at all times. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of your account.

  • One Rider, One Vehicle: Your account can be used to rent only one (1) RideOn vehicle at a time. You must properly end your current trip before you can rent another vehicle.

3. Your Responsibilities as a Rider

Your safety and the proper use of our vehicles are of paramount importance. You agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Rider Competency: You confirm that you are physically and mentally fit, and possess the necessary experience and familiarity to safely operate our Vehicles. You are solely responsible for any injury or damage that results from unsafe operation.

  • Pre-Ride Safety Check: Before every ride, you must perform a basic safety inspection of the Vehicle, checking components like the brakes, tires, and handlebars. If you notice any damage or defects that could affect safe operation, do not use the Vehicle and report the issue immediately through the Platform.

  • Helmet Use: For your safety, we strongly advise wearing a helmet. Serious bodily injury or death can occur in an accident. You agree that RideOn shall not be liable for any injuries resulting from your failure to wear a properly fitted helmet.

  • Riding Under the Influence: Never operate a RideOn Vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your judgment or ability to ride safely. You assume all risks and liability for any attempt to do so.

  • Obey All Laws: You are required to know and obey all applicable local, city, and barangay traffic laws and regulations related to operating a bicycle or e-scooter.

  • Adverse Weather: Do not use our Vehicles during hazardous weather conditions, such as heavy rain, lightning storms, or strong winds.

  • Malfunctions During a Ride: If a Vehicle or any of its components malfunction during your ride, immediately stop riding in a safe location, end your trip, and report the issue to our customer service.

  • App Usage During Ride: For your safety and accurate fare calculation, the app must maintain communication with the vehicle's monitoring system throughout the trip. Please ensure the app is kept open or running in the background while actively riding.

  • Do not close or force-quit the app while your trip is active: The app must remain running, even in background mode, to ensure continuous GPS tracking, accurate fare calculation, and proper communication with the vehicle. Closing or force-quitting the app during an active booking will be considered a breach of service terms and may result in immediate termination of the trip and a penalty fee.

4. Rules of Use & Prohibited Actions

Our Vehicles are for personal transportation only. You agree to respect our property and adhere to the following rules:

  • Prohibited Uses: Any use of the Vehicle for racing, tricks, stunt riding, jumping, or off-road riding is strictly forbidden. You may not use the Vehicle for any commercial purpose or ride on unpaved roads or through deep water.

  • No Passengers or Towing: Only you are permitted to use the Vehicle rented via your account. Carrying passengers on any part of the Vehicle or towing/pushing any person or object is strictly prohibited.

  • Proper Use of Baskets & Phone Holders: The front basket is intended for light items only. Your use of the mobile phone holder is at your own risk. RideOn is not responsible for any personal items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.

  • Ending Your Ride Correctly: You must end your rental by returning the Vehicle to a designated RideOn Parking Hub. Failure to do so will result in continued charges and potential penalty fees.

  • RideOn's Property: All Vehicles and equipment remain the exclusive property of RideOn. You may not modify, dismantle, or remove any parts or accessories from the Vehicle.

5. Accidents, Loss, and Damage

  • Reporting Incidents: You must immediately report any accident, injury, vehicle damage, loss, or theft to RideOn's customer service and to the local police authorities. A police report must be provided to RideOn upon request within five (5) business days.

  • Liability for Theft or Loss: You are fully liable and responsible for the Vehicle during your entire rental period. In the event a Vehicle is lost or stolen under your care, you will be charged up to ₱75,000 per vehicle, plus any applicable recovery, collection, and legal fees.

  • Liability for Damage: You agree to return the Vehicle in the same condition in which you received it. You are responsible and will be charged for any damages resulting from improper use, abuse, or accidents.

6. Financial Terms & Account Status

  • Negative Balances: You are responsible for immediately settling any negative balance on your account. Unpaid balances may lead to account suspension, the assessment of delinquency fees, reporting to authorities, and/or further legal action to recover funds.

  • Changes to Terms & Termination: RideOn reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time. We will post updates on our Platform, and your continued use of the Service will constitute your acceptance of the new terms. You have the right to terminate your account by notifying us. RideOn may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violating this Agreement.

7. Your Acknowledgment

By creating an account and using the RideOn Service, I certify that I am at least 18 years old, and I have read, fully understand, and agree to be legally bound by all the terms and conditions in this Rider Agreement.
